This year the JHB had the honor of closing the festival with a blistering Sunday twilight set outside. Here's a killer slow bluz instrumental that was one of the highlights of his show and the festival. Tone to the bone on this one and some relatively rare slide. Even Solon looks like he's diggin' it :-) Sorry Cody, couldn't get your face in the video again. Buy the new CD and support this accomplished band. Johnny said they may be coming back to Texas soon.........bring it on, we need more.

This is a behind the scenes look at the creation of a new jingle for WABC radio in New York by JAM Creative Productions in Dallas. It follows the progress of one particular jingle (#121) which was produced along with many others, and became part of our "Top News" package. The recording sessions shown were held in November 2005. This is a condensed version of a similar documentary we released on our "Jingles With Vision" DVD, which is available on our website via The JAM Store. JAM has done jingles for WABC since the 1970s, when it was still a music station. Today WABC broadcasts news and talk programs.
From 1976 to 1993, JAM created all of the station jingles for BBC Radio 1. They were heard by millions of listeners across the UK. Here is some JAM home-video taken during one of the vocal sessions for the 1984 package. The vocals, as well as the music tracks, were recorded at our previous studio on Insurance Lane in Dallas, Texas. Representing Radio 1 is Johnny Beerling, who pretends to have a thick cockney accent when asked about the singers' British pronunciation skills.
KOST 103 jingles being recorded in October 1989. Many jock cuts included. Fun to watch how JAM makes their magic! Jhani Kaye and Tip Landay oversee the session for KOST. Plus there's a great shot of JAM super salesman, Fred Hardy! (We miss you, Fred)
Bluesberry Jam - Performed by Johnny Hiland at the 2016 Dallas International Guitar Show 01 Day 2 4-30-16 Johnny Hiland (guitar & vocals), Mike Barrow (guitar), T.J. Armstrong (bass), Bruce Guthrie (Drums) ______________________ Johnny Hiland Johnny Hiland’s incredible guitar virtuosity is only made that much more impressive when you realize he was born with a condition called Nystagmus, an eye disease which renders him legally blind. Though this must have been somewhat of a hindrance to initially learning to play, he took up the guitar at the very young age of 2. He won the “Talent America Contest” in New York City when he was only 10. Until he turned 15 he played in a bluegrass band with his sister, Jodi, and brother, Jerry. They called themselves “The 3 J’s.” In high school his t...

This is a late night jam session between some great musicians in the Dallas/Fort Worth area at O'Rileys in Dallas. The occasion is the MusicDFW 1 Year Anniversary and Compilation CD Release Party. The night featured live performances from many acts across the metroplex. The end of the night was designated for open jam sessions. This is one such session, led by Scott Whigham (guitar/center), Founder of MusicDFW. The jam is a funky blues romp that will surely get your head bobbin'! The backline combo of Curtis Morey (drums) and Lee De La Houssaye are relentless, and the finesse and articulation delivered by Whigham and fellow guitarist Ian Lawler are spectacular! This fine display of North Texas musicianship is capped off by an impromptu appearance by Craig Nance, who, in the spirit o...
